A Different Twist to our BLOG - Meet Ms. Rose Jindori

We are beginning a new twist to the Blog - the idea is to really get to know your mate - not your soul-mate - I meant your classmate for the purpose of this course -lols!! So for the next few days, there will be some write ups made on the different persons in the group - I may not be able to cover everyone....but I will do my level best...and if you are interested in sharing a thing or two on the blog - please let me know....my email is.. mkunatuba@yahoo.com. Folks - this is our blog.....so any contribution from your end will be greatly and most sincerely appreciated - nothing is too little ot post .....!

We are starting off with the lovely lady all the way from Nigeria, Ms. Roseline Jindori...

Ms. Roseline works for National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking and Persons. She has a Bachelors in Sociology and a Masters in Public Adminsitration. On first glance, Rose emits a very strong personality, yet pleasant at the same time. As the days pass and when you really get to know her, a few things become prominent in her character; wherever she is there is noise and laughter, she is outgoing, loves shopping and I tell you, she bargains hard with those shopkeepers - trust me, I have been on a few shopping sprees with her....lols....
Rose is a gem of a person, she speaks her mind and is very transparent - as in - what you see is what you get - in other words - there is really no pretending with her - that is an awesome quality that will put any person in good stead in this world....She is such a delight to have around and to be around.
Rose was asked a few questions on her experience and impressions of ASCI and the course - below are her answers....
i. How was your trip to Hyderabad?
It was hectic, it took me three days to get to hyderbad because my flight was cancelled for a day, and that affected my connecting flights.
ii. What does this place remind you of?
It reminds me of my days in the university;
iii. What is your first impression of ASCI?
Its a big school that took in to considerations both the mental and physical well being of it's students, but there is need for it to upgrade its facilities.
iv. How do you like your fellow class members?
If I am asked to choose my class mates in the next world, these 23 will surely be among them. They have made my stay interesting and in fact i have not missed home much.they are all wounderful people.
v. Any issues on the food?
The food is ok,except for the spice. I have learnt how to eat CHAPPATI, BIRYANI AND GULAB JAMUN.
vi. Would you recommend this place to other persons from your country?
Why not? the only way you can know people and their culture is to have personal experience, I believe that if people can interact among themselves,it will minimise all the fighting going on in many countries, and the world will be a better place to live in.
vii. Anything else you would like to raise?
I will only suggest one or two issues. i feel that it will help participants if the programmes and events are mailed to them early, that way they know what to carry along with them as well as get them prepared pyscologically. Secondly, they should be given time to talk more about their country, culture, work etc, that way participants will get to know more about each others country and ask questions on areas of concern. This may be the only oppoturnity we may get to meet a person from another side of the world.
After all said and done, I want to say that it has been a worthwhile experience. I have learnt so much within a short period of time as well as met new friends. To Mr. Mohan, Mr. Duggal and ASCI, on behalf of all of us i say ...THANK YOU VERY MUCH
..................
I hope that you have all gotten to know a little bit more about Ms. Rose - our sole participant from Nigeria.
Blessed Day All...

  2. Rose and Mele,
Enjoyed reading the interview. Gave us an insight into the person. Compliments and feedback about ASCI and the programme is accepted with humility. We will try addressing them in subsequent programmes.
