RAMOJI FILM CITY

On Sunday, 20th June 2010, we embarked on a trip to Ramoji Film City - what an awesome place - it felt like we were driving through the whole of India - one second, we were at Calcutta and a second later, we were at Kerala. The wonders of modern technology - the wonders of having an awesome vision - it was indeed quite an experience - we even saw the Taj Mahal and around the same corner, we were at the streets of London - my goodness.. our tour guide advised us that it was important to note the structures, though they seemed like houses and well known sights from the front, they will automaticallybecome bushes and forests once you enter...lols!! We saw the Apples Hospital, but we were advised that it is also a Mental Hospital and sometimes, the Dental Hospital - at this hospital - there is 100 per cent guarantee that you will get service - but if you were to go in for an operation - unfortunately, the statistics is not the same...lols..As the guide stated - in the hospital, they are all actors - not Doctors ..lols..lols

There were some monuments that apparently had the ability to bring luck in love and other areas of our lives if we were to circle it a number of times - some of us were counting the number of rounds we made...lols...

There were wonderful things to see... monuments, statues, gardens - just to name a few ..then we had the shows - we are ever grateful to our dear companion Mr. Murli - who was with us all the way - directing us and ensuring some form of togetherness in our group...truth be told - if we had things our way - we would all have wondered in different directions - thank you Mr. Murli....

Now - let me discuss our group a little... as mentioned before - we are varied in backgrounds..but this only provided fuel for us to gel and interact wonderfully well with each other. Let me give you an example - wherever we could, we all attended the same shows, for some, we were not able to due to number restrictions - on two occassions - whilst we were waiting for the show to start - and everyone is seated - and the music ringing in our ears, our group saw the opportunity to blend their styles and honoured the viewers with some dancing moves..I tell you ...if Ramoji Film City were auditioning for dancers - as Rose stated - only fifteen of us would have returned...lols..lols....Our group has such awesome group dynamics. We danced, we jiggled and we mingled - indeed the day was well - spent.
The sights were beautiful - indeed a place to recommend for visitors to Hyderabad. If only we were able to bring the statues home - lols.....it was indeed a fun filled and enjoyable day, though a bit tiring - it was indeed all worth it. Photos will be posted separately, once I receive them.
